My motto:
Find happiness in the happiness of others
and accept joy when offered back to you.

This is my philosophy. I think it should be your philosophy too. You can have it. Free of charge. If there is one thing you take away from any of this, I want you to take that: Find happiness in the happiness of others and accept joy when offered back to you.
HAPPINESS NEWSLETTER

Happiness is all around us, if you know where to look for it. I’ll explain how to find it. Once you know where to look, I’ll tell you how to share what you know.
public speaking

Picture the newsletter, but I am in front of a bunch of people pontificating on finding happiness, sharing happiness, and using happiness to become a better human.
PODCAST HOST/INTERVIEWER

Digging into what makes a person tick is part of finding happiness. Put a mic in front of me – I mean, I’ll be asking the questions regardless.

Dictionary
Words you should know

A good friend of mine gave me the gift of The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows by John Koenig. It creates beautiful new words for emotions that have yet to have a definition. It is a remarkable book. In it I have found words that explain some of what I preach. These two (new) words are worth knowing.
XENO
[zee-noh] The powerful moments shared between random strangers, such as a smile or a laugh, which reduce feelings of loneliness.
SONDER
[son-der] The realization that every stranger and passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own. That each person is occupied by their own personal ambitions, worries, and problems.
